Rated 5 out of 5 by from So beautiful I'm very pleasantly surprised. It's very sturdy, it makes multitasking easier since you don't have to worry about the bowl moving. I thought it was going to sound like an airplane taking off, but my hand mixer is actually louder. It's a bit tricky to attach the bowl to the machine but it's not really a problem. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but I expected better. 5KSM7581. First Kitchenaid product I've bought or had experience with, though researched and heard a lot about the stand mixers being great. First impressions were great, looks and feels solid. Putting the bowl onto the machine is direct and mechanically solid. The lift mechanism, though a bit loose but not sloppy, has a mechanical kind of operation also. Connecting up the dough hook, again is loose rather than snug in it's place. The other attachments in the box, k beater and whisk, are the same so guessing that's the design. Emptied a kilo of plain flour, 600ml water and yeast, salt and turned it on second speed, power of the motor is obvious, as is it's sound. I wouldn't say it's noisy, rather a little more industrial than 'quiet'. As it is the 'most powerful yet' and the pro-line series I guess that's to be expected but the claim was 'Quiet'. The dough hook rattles at it's attachment as it turns the dough due to being a sloppy fit but made short work of a kilo of dough. Overall I'm looking forward to using the machine but from the product advertising and claims I would have to say it's not what I expected. Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine! Wonderful machine. Very sturdy not as heavy as the 160. Wish it had the “stir” instead of number one as shown on the website photos.
