Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent machine Great FP. I have only just purchased and have used it for slicing and dicing. As is my first food processor (I have always chopped manually and used my KitchenAid mixer for everything in the past), a manual or book of some sort would have been useful. I have had to trawl the internet to see what I can use this for. There is a small booklet indicating what each attachment is, but nothing that helps me answer the question “what fabulous things can I do with the FP?”. I hope to be able to put it to great use in the future. An larger dicing size attachment for the dicing kit would also be a great addition.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's great BUT The blade got stuck, when I managed to take it off with full force. It works funny now. It does not blend the walnuts fine anymore. Or the onions and carrots. There will be some big pieces between the small. This is not good. I contacted them about this. They respond to emails they are very good and helpful but they do not understand how difficult it is to explain over email. If they had said take to such and such place with this reference number that would be easy on me. The blade - white plastic part gets stained very quickly. Even though I wash straight after using??? amazing.. It looks dirty and not so good quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing gift. Christmas present that is showing early signs of being a lemon in line with negative reviews I have read. When shredding carrots and onions I elongated piece of the vegetable gets stuck between the lid and the blade causing loud clunking sound and vibration you would expect when you blow a tire in a car. I'm concerned that, as reported in previous reviews, the blade will self destruct.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for nut butters I bought this machine for the purpose of making nut butters, bliss balls and for other nut based baking. It has been perfect for the job! It makes perfectly smooth nut butter in under 5 minutes, and I dont need to stopool the machine to scrape down. It blends all my nuts and dates perfectly! I really couldn't fault it. I have used it twice for dicing an assortment of veggies, it did a really good job, however I did find the dicing attatchment difficult to clean, but I'm sure it will get easier with practice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than IMPRESSIVE! I bought this to replace a Cuisinart 14 cup processor that was fantastic but had plastic bowl breakdown & no replacement parts (not acceptable in this era of sustainability). I needed a "like for like" replacement, thus a decent engine and bowl capacity. The KitchenAid is amazing - the 16 cup or smaller bowls if preferred are made of solid feel plastic, the base and engine, whilst heavy, never slips and I am overwhelmed with how much it can do - way more than I expected in terms of customising how you want to slice, grate, mix etc. Definitely worth the higher price. AND, if a part does need replacing, they seem to have designed all the processors so these can be easily replaced - one of the important aspects if spending this sort of cost on a processor that should last years!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dicing kit useless, Can't use Medium Bowl I regret buying this product and now it is just an ornament on my bench top. The dicing kit is way too small says 8mm, but spits them out around 5mm. Most of the time it just turns it into a mush and destroys the food. Also most of the vegies just get stuck in it. A much larger dicing kit would of been suitable. However, no 12mm dicing kit is available to purchase for this machine. The medium bowl is pretty useless as most of the parts do not fit it. Plus if you get a bit of fluid between the medium bowl and large bowl it acts as a suction cup, so in other words it gets stuck, its impossible to separate. Generally you have a small bowl, that is good to chop, but it doesn't chop too well (couldnt chop macadamias'), I use a blender/grinder now instead of it. Whilst you are using the smaller bowl fluid has a tendency to pure into the larger jug, no matter how little the amount is, means you have to wash even that too. The large mixing bowl is OK, again though it's not very good at chopping (I took out the macadamians and put them there instead hoping it would work, nope). It also did a terrible job with Carrots and Onions, so part of it was chopped and then huge chunks were not. I contacted kitchenaid to complain and requested to return this item they refused. Stated they don't guarantee customer satisfaction and don't replace for change of mind. What they don't get is the product is terrible and doesn't do what its suppose to do, and when it does work its does a poor job of it. Also they are very vague with their descriptions, so you have to make assumptions as to what size the dicing kit is etc. When you question this, their response is, you can find this information out in the user manual lol, go figure. I will never purchase another kitchenaid product again. In fact I purchased a Kenwood stand mixer instead, and actually does the job better, funny enough its even a used one. I had no choice but to purchase the Kenwood, cos I spent so much money on the Kitchenaid food processor, I was limited to my options, cos it just didn't do the job and I threw out my Sunbeam one (regretted doing that, as it worked much better) The dicing kit for the Kenwood, dicers much larger and does an excellent job. So if you all are considering in purchasing this machine email me, you can have mine, its only been used once.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from KFP1644 food processor This was an impulse buy after ordering the 1333 food processor. I wondered if that would have sufficient power, but on using it I’m happy with the performance. I was going to hand the 1333 on to a family member but will now give this one to one as I really don’t need all the fantastic features. I should have thought more at the time of ordering this processor with it’s great features,.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not sure it lives up to previous models I bought this as a replacement of previous model. This one rattles and moves along the bench when in use ( to puree food) and does not provide consistency in the puree. I had no issues with the previous model. In fact the dates were not chopped at all so my almond date balls were a disaster. I had to cut the dates with scissors seperately.
